Glad News

“You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.” Psalms 40:5

We may fall down but when we fall Jesus picks us up and holds us upright until we can stand. When we run head long into a wall He is there, cushioning the hit to keep us from destroying ourselves. We can’t escape the hand of God—He is ever present in our lives.

“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol you are there!” Psalm 139:7-8

The more I rely on the Lord, the more I become aware of His presence in my life. What a wonderful way to live—to have the hand of God upon us—to know the moment you open your eyes He is there, and was there, as you slept.

Without Jesus Christ in my life, I was broken like shattered glass—so many little pieces of me all over the place. I tried to put the pieces together on my own, but I could not. When I brought my brokenness—my shattered life—to God and lay it before Him, He didn't just put me together. He made me brand new.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17

He did that because, though I wasn’t thinking of Him, God already had my life in His hands

Jesus sees you. You are wanted and loved. No matter what your life is like, you're already the focus of Holy God, who loves us.

“I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O Lord.” Psalms 40:9
